Say hello to chef Greg Lowry, chef de cuisine over at Triniti, and his amazing family. Like so many other chefs in the industry Greg has a pretty hectic schedule, so when he's at home with his wife Alysa and the kids, cooking homemade food is usually involved and everyone helps. When Greg reached out to me a couple of months back we talked about documenting his family making a pasta dinner from scratch which they try and do once a month or so. For this session Greg, with the help of the family, made flank steak, pea and sopressata tortelloni, salsa rosa, and grilled artichokes. He also brought home some fresh made sourdough bread made by Samantha Mendoza, the pastry chef at Triniti. This was the longest shoot to date, but since everything was made from scratch (I do mean everything!), you'll see why when you look through the pictures!
Half way through the shoot the girls even brought out their own camera and made me a subject of my own shoot! Our shoot involved some adult beverages, random tastings during the prep, great conversation about various topics (like Greg's awesome shirt he got from Butcher & Baker), and ultimately sitting down and watching football while enjoying the delicious final plate.
All I thought about on my drive home was "I should've had seconds!".
