Say hello to executive chef Maurizio Ferrarese of Quattro located inside the Four Seasons Hotel downtown Houston, his wife Whitney, and their beautiful daughters Iris and Aria. Chef Maurizio was born, raised, and trained in Italy and well traveled around the world from Europe to Hawaii with Four Seasons running their restaurants and cooking some amazing food. He has been in the Houston for the last 5 years. One of the many routines Maurizio has is making food for his young daughters from scratch and made a few things during our shoot for them. Among them were apple, oat, and orange baby food, also sweet potato, and even yogurt popsicles. All made by his amazing (not so available in the US) Vorwerk Thermomix. For the family meal chef Maurizio prepared a couple of simple yet delicious dishes. First was tomato and mozzarella salad with fig balsamic and olive oil, and final dish being potato gnocchi with heirloom tomatoes, with roasted garlic and basil. I also showed up on a very special day to do our shoot, it was Aria's first birthday. So to help celebrate, Maurizio's 3 year old daughter Iris not only helped prep the food, but also helped Whitney make a very special birthday cake for her younger sister Aria.
