Say hello to Jody Stevens, a fellow wedding vendor and baker over at JodyCakes. Her specialty is vegan, gluten-free, and organic cakes but you can get a taste of her cakes on a regular basis over at Revival Market in the Heights. Although she's a self taught pastry chef by trait, when Jody's at home, its usually hanging out with friends and cooking on Sundays. I was invited over to capture one of these routine Sundays and it was not disappointing. There's usually a lot of conversation, laughs, and a few glasses of wine involved in the midst of all the cooking. For our shoot Jody prepared lasagna for the main course and some tarte tatin with red wine caramel, thyme, and creme fresh for dessert.
